Raytheon s-a apucat si de radarele noastre

Direct de la sursa:

„Raytheon IDS, Andover, Massachusetts, was awarded a $395,847,480 modification (P00026) to foreign military sales (Romania) contract W31P4Q-15-C-0022 for Phased Array Tracking on Radar to Intercept Option Fire Unit (PATRIOT = Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept On Target), adica unitatea de tragere (baterie) Patriot:

PATRIOT Fire Unit

… sau asa cu alta grafica… si cu specificarea tipului de interceptor

Work will be performed in Andover, Massachusetts; Pelham, New Hampshire; Tewksbury, Massachusetts; Marlborough, Massachusetts; McKinney Texas; Portsmouth, Rhode Island; Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; and Burlington, Massachusetts, with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2020. Fiscal 2018 foreign military sales funds in the amount of $244,088,179 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.”

Cat despre radar, sa nu ne emotionam, ca este tot cel clasic AN/MPQ-53 cu mici imbunatatiri (radar digital processor/RDP: putere marita + banda de cautare extinsa), pe cand noul 360°/GaN este inca in dezvoltare

In principiu, anul viitor prima baterie Patriot va sosi in Tara, urmand ca in anul „douazeci-douazeci” 🙂 sa devina si operationala.

„Raytheon Missile Co., Tucson, Arizona, has been awarded a $12,099,569 fixed-price-incentive contract modification (P00004) to previously awarded contract FA8675-18-C-0003 for Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile (AMRAAM) Production Lot 32 field spares and initial depot spares.  Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2021.  This modification involves foreign military sales to Australia, Korea, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Turkey.  Fiscal 2018 production funds in the amount of $4,840,654; fiscal 2018 research and development funds in the amount of $477,392; fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $196,793; and foreign military sales funds in the amount of $6,584,730 are being obligated at the time of award.  Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Dominance Contracting Office, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity.”

Nu pare chiar mare lucru, fiind vorba la prima vedere doar de niste de piese de schimb, aflam insa din alta sursa ce fac americanii mai exact in cadrul Lotului 32 si lucrurile par mai complexe, mai exact s-a modificat contractul “din drum” pentru a mari capabilitatea C7 – deci Lot 32.: „AMRAAM lot 32 is expected to the first batch of production missiles that integrate the Form, Fit, Function Refresh (F3R) of the AMRAAM guidance section. The Air Force’s AMRAAM F3R project is a comprehensive effort to mitigate the effects of parts obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing sources in the missile’s guidance section to enable AMRAAM production beyond lot 31.”
